On April 7, 2000, the practicing license of Susan Patricia O’Keefe previously suspended, was reinstated.
On March 6, 2000, a Disciplinary Panel of the Discipline Committee of the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (ARNNL) accepted an agreed statement of fact in which Susan Patricia O’Keefe, Registration No. 16600, acknowledged that due to misuse of a medication, she was unfit to practice nursing during a scheduled work shift but did continue to work. The Panel in accepting the statement of fact noted the behaviour was in contravention of ARNNL Standards of Practice.
The Panel suspended her license for one month with conditions effective March 7, 2000. The license will be reinstated at the end of the suspension period if the conditions have been met.
