Nursing Education Approval

The NL College of Nurses approves nursing education programs in Newfoundland and Labrador for Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Nurse Practitioners. Approval ensures programs meet standards and prepare graduates for safe, competent, and ethical practice.

We review programs regularly to make sure they provide appropriate learning and clinical experiences. Graduates of approved programs can apply for registration and licensure with the College.
