Discipline Hearings

​​T​he​ ​Complaints Authorization Committee ​​​investigates complaints that have been made against nurses. If they find there are valid reasons to believe a nurse may have acted improperly, the​y can ​​refer the​ complaint ​to a hearing.

This referral does not mean the nurse is guilty of any wrongdoing.

Nature of Complaint: It is alleged that the Registrant is guilty of conduct deserving of sanction in that the Registrant improperly administered controlled substances; inappropriately documented administration of controlled substances including altering documentation of controlled substances and misappropriated controlled substances for personal use; and all amounting to professional misconduct, professional incompetency, incapacity or unfitness to engage in the practice of nursing and acting in breach of the Registered Nurses Act, 2008, the Registered Nurse Regulations or the Code of Ethics.
