Resolved by Agreement

Decisions resolved by agreement are the final outcomes of a review process. To ​be open and accountable, the​ College publishes the​​s​e decisions ​​so the public can have confidence in the regulatory process.

On June 21, 2026, the Director of Professional Conduct Review resolved two Allegations with a Registrant and Complainant in accordance with section 22(1) of the Registered Nurses Act, 2008. The Registrant failed to follow an order; failed to appropriately assess a client; failed to document appropriately; failed to follow medication administration procedures; failed to report an incident; and failed to be transparent in the investigation of an incident. The Registrant was required to complete specified remedial education, including a reflective paper with specified content, and to meet with a College Nursing Consultant – Policy and Practice to reflect on the Registrant’s learnings. The Registrant’s practice will be monitored for a specified period of time.

On June 15, 2026, the Director of Professional Conduct Review resolved an Allegation with a Registrant and Complainant in accordance with s. 22(1) of the Registered Nurses Act, 2008. The Registrant acknowledged having engaged in conduct deserving of sanction in that the Registrant failed to conduct observational rounds; documented that observational rounds had been completed when in fact they were not and provided conflicting evidence to the employer during the investigation of the matter. The Registrant was required to complete specified remedial education, including a reflective paper with specified content, and to meet with a College Nursing Consultant – Policy and Practice to reflect on the Registrant’s learnings.

On June 6, 2026, the Director of Professional Conduct Review resolved an Allegation with a Registrant and Complainant in accordance with s. 22(1) of the Registered Nurses Act, 2008. The Registrant acknowledged having engaged in conduct deserving of sanction in that the Registrant displayed unprofessional communication with a patient; displayed unprofessional communication skills with a patient and/or family member on more than one occasion; was dishonest; and failed to follow explicit instructions. The Registrant was required to complete specified remedial education, including a reflective paper with specified content, and to meet with a College Nursing Consultant – Policy and Practice to reflect on the Registrant’s learnings.

On June 5, 2026, the Director of Professional Conduct Review resolved an Allegation with a Registrant and Complainant accordance with s. 22(1) of the Registered Nurses Act, 2008, SNL2008, c R-0.1. The Registrant acknowledged having engaged in conduct deserving of sanction in that the Registrant inappropriately disclosed confidential information. The Registrant was required to complete specified remedial education, including a reflective paper with specified content, and to meet with a College Nursing Consultant – Policy and Practice to reflect on the Registrant’s learnings.
