Decision Summary
In the matter of a Complaint against Travis Day, Registrant #22645, an allegation filed March 18, 2022, by the employer, then Eastern Regional Health Authority, alleged concerns with the Registrant’s conduct on or about January 8, 2022, and on or about February 9, 2022. Specifically, concerns related to video recordings and images posted to social media were articulated. The conduct occurred while the Registrant practiced at Agnes Pratt Home in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and Labrador.
On October 3, 2023, the Adjudication Tribunal accepted the Registrant’s guilty plea and accepted, without modification, a signed Agreed Statement of Facts. A joint submission with respect to sanctions was presented to the Adjudication Tribunal. In a decision dated October 9, 2023, the Adjudication Tribunal ordered the Registrant be reprimanded by the Tribunal; review prescribed education materials; prepare a written self-reflection and meet with the College’s Nursing Consultant, Policy and Practice to discuss same.
