Discipline Hearings
The Complaints Authorization Committee investigates complaints that have been made against nurses. If they find there are valid reasons to believe a nurse may have acted improperly, they can refer the complaint to a hearing.
This referral does not mean the nurse is guilty of any wrongdoing.

Nature of Complaint: It is alleged that the Registrant is guilty of conduct deserving of sanction in that the Registrant failed to adhere to best practice standards, employer policy and/or the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics in the Registrant’s medication management, medication administration and documentation practices all of the foregoing amounting to professional misconduct, professional incompetence, failure to maintain fitness to practice and/or acting in breach of the Act, the regulations and/or the code of ethics.
